This custom swim resistance swim spa features a commercial-quality swim resistance system for current swimming. The swim spa also features an automatic pool safety cover, a therapeutic exercise bar, Primera Stone Diamond Head Treasure pool finish, and a Basketball system. The coping is Bluestone, and the planks that clad the exposed wall are Valder's Dovewhite limestone. There is also a mosaic tile border as well as on the stair treads. Photos by Larry Huene.
DiGiacomo Homes & RenovationWith no windows or natural light, we used a combination of artificial light, open space, and white walls to brighten this master bath remodel. Over the white, we layered a sophisticated palette of finishes that embrace color, pattern, and texture: 1) long hex accent tile in “lemongrass” gold from Walker Zanger (mounted vertically for a new take on mid-century aesthetics); 2) large format slate gray floor tile to ground the room; 3) textured 2X10 glossy white shower field tile (can’t resist touching it); 4) rich walnut wraps with heavy graining to define task areas; and 5) dirty blue accessories to provide contrast and interest.

The shower niche also includes glass shelves in front of a backdrop of pebble stone wall tile. All cabinetry and floating shelves are custom built with granite countertops throughout the bathroom. The sink faucet is from the Delta Zura collection while the shower head is part of the Delta In2uition line.

The Tailored Closet of Des Moines & AmesThis gray walk-in closet has modern flat door and drawer fronts complete with upper glass doors. The bank of drawers can hold personal items while the doors on each side are tilt-out laundry hampers. On the left you see shoe storage and a pull out mirror. The shelves and hanging closet rod complete the storage solution.

Studio 119In order to open up this kitchen, many of the walls were removed and the window increased in size to create a pass-thru window. To store all of the glassware and dishes, we designed custom drawer organizer systems. The quartz countertops are a very close replication of a Calcutta Marble.

Every day feels like a celebration in this stylish design that features a main level floor plan perfect for both entertaining and convenient one-level living. The distinctive transitional exterior welcomes friends and family with interesting peaked rooflines, stone pillars, stucco details and a symmetrical bank of windows. A three-car garage and custom details throughout give this compact home the appeal and amenities of a much-larger design and are a nod to the Craftsman and Mediterranean designs that influenced this updated architectural gem. A custom wood entry with sidelights match the triple transom windows featured throughout the house and echo the trim and features seen in the spacious three-car garage. While concentrated on one main floor and a lower level, there is no shortage of living and entertaining space inside. The main level includes more than 2,100 square feet, with a roomy 31 by 18-foot living room and kitchen combination off the central foyer that’s perfect for hosting parties or family holidays. The left side of the floor plan includes a 10 by 14-foot dining room, a laundry and a guest bedroom with bath. To the right is the more private spaces, with a relaxing 11 by 10-foot study/office which leads to the master suite featuring a master bath, closet and 13 by 13-foot sleeping area with an attractive peaked ceiling. The walkout lower level offers another 1,500 square feet of living space, with a large family room, three additional family bedrooms and a shared bath.
UserWe were asked to create a very elegant master bathroom in this period 70's residence. We left many of the adjacent elements and finishes in place but created an entirely new aesthetic in the bathroom and dressing area. Four wing walls of low-iron glass are used in conjunction with the dramatic rear wall of Italian marble, beautifully book matched. Floors are 30 X 30 porcelain tiles. The pair of medicine cabinets left up to revel ample storage within the deep cabinets. Walnut cabinetry is custom designed by our studio. The skylight features a completely concealed shade which blocks out the sunlight completely, for those weekend days when you might want to sleep in late.
A more modest bathroom on the first level serves the guest bedroom and dinner guests.

リビング全体の雰囲気。明るい床に明るい建具という、ヤングファミリー向け？のナチュラルな部屋を、カーテンや家具を落ち着いた色味にすることで、だいぶ大人な雰囲気にできたと思います。（見えていませんが、ソファはブラックのフェイクスエードです）
壁には梁下に幕板を追加して間接照明を入れ、エコカラットを貼ることでさらに陰影が楽しめるようにしました。
丸いペンダントは引掛シーリング隠しも兼ねて後付けしました。
