Our client approached with an old photographed of her house in the 1800's in its original glory and asked if we could recreate the exterior facade to match the photo. When we started the project, the whole home was covered in vinyl siding and suffered a leaking roof and porch.
We stripped everything down to the original sheathing and applied a layer of foam and moisture barrier to properly protect the home. From there we applied custom crown and trim molding and piece-by-piece were able to achieve the stated goal for the exterior look while also enabling it to last another 100+ years.

Southern Cabinet Works
With a sweeping, open view of the dining area this casually glamorous eat-in kitchen is grounded by rich brick floors. Very Southern inspired, the light cream painted cabinetry keeps the open flow. Punctuating the beautiful brick floors the mint green island adds a pop of color that takes the space from great to beautifully unique!

A colorblocked wall in Purple Passion provides the perfect backdrop as an enhancement of the artist's own original artwork. We added coffered ceilings with recessed lighting; the interesting definition is created in the new coffered ceiling by adding additional depth with gray paint. This balances the purple wall and coordinates with sofa and animal print on the chairs. A hand-knotted custom rug in a contemporary pattern grounds the conversation grouping, and motorized shades can be lowered to protect the furnishings or raised to any point to expose the beautiful ocean view.

Storage cubes make great occasional tables in Living Rooms. You can stow away toys, magazines, blankets, games and anything else you don’t want cluttering up your area. You can sit on them, use them as foot stools, and when used together as a cluster, you can turn them into a cocktail table with a large tray.
Antique & Art Exchange
This home was office done by Weaver Design Group for the project of "Antiques in Modern Design". The walls are painted in a vibrant pink to offset the black and grey used in the consoles and lamps. The 17th century baroque gilt wood mirror gives weight to an otherwise light and airy room. The pair of Louis XV armchairs sit in front of a modern desk covered in a floral wallpaper. The shell consoles against the wall are wonderfully carved wooden consoles in the form of shells and can be used in a multitude of spaces such as a dining hall or an entrance room or anywhere one pleases. The statue of a lady from the Han dynasty period completes the feminine touch.

The four skylights in the Japanese tea House have hand carved overlay screens. The beauty of these overlays is that sunlight shinning through appears to dance on the walls and floor as the sun moves across the sky. The two small top roof windows are art glass embedded with tiny crystals.

West Virginia Leafy Cottage
My wife was raised on Flat Top Mountain in Southern West Virginia South of Beckley. She moved to Ohio when she was 16 . She always wanted to have a place where she was raised, so in 2006 we found, this 1890's cottage for sale. We bought it and have spent the last 10 years working on it. It has been a fun project. It has a summer kitchen, root cellar and well house and 3 wood stoves.
We spent some time down there when we can, her cooking and me designing kitchens.
