A secluded courtyard garden, alpine planting, slate stone walls and relaxing terrace… a private party garden. More than 20 tonnes of construction materials were needed, managed and expertly constructed in this creative landscaped environment.
Brief
A courtyard garden that had been left for many years, was very much in need of a re-design.
The planting and natural stone terrace had to be updated, reworked and transformed into a new garden.
The abundance of alpine trees and succulent planting was something that had to be enhanced. The entertaining terrace needed redesigning, it was essential that the new materials spoke the same language as the existing weathered landscape.
Design
The open terraced area that cried out for a reclaimed looking terrace. The surrounding raised area is complimented with the tactile nature and appearance of this weathered looking composite decking, although we prefer natural materials it was a perfect match.
Millboard Weathered decking does have the look and feel of a reclaimed and very old looking plank of real wood. The colour, Vintage, is a perfect match for this project.
A floating bench arrangement perfectly constructed in amongst the alpine Tier stone cladding surrounded by the planting. A satisfying place to sit amongst the overwhelming planting.
Imported from Germany, a planting companion to the scheme was the Pinus Mugo tree. Bare stemmed and look stunning when illuminated in the evening.

IDIT EVEN ZURThe design handled a challenging area that included existing and unchangeable architecture, at a low budget. The new design enlarge the space, so it included both a kitchen and a entertaining corner. both areas were harmoniously designed so that they "talk to each other". At the client's request, the accompanying vegetation included a wide variety of roses, with abundance of fragrant and long time blooming flowers.

Over at the back of the garden they had Composite Decking installed which can last upwards of 25 years, which then leads into a pathway connecting the artificial grass to the rest of the house and lastly they had a retaining wall to keep their garden's privacy at its highest

Riviera Gardens. Architecte Paysagiste Côte d'AzurRemplie d'une vibration zen joyeuse, cette pièce verte offre l'expérience d'un voyage entre Sichuan et Bali. L'admiration de la propriétaire pour les pandas nous a inspiré pour dessiner des lignes fluides d'aménagement avec des galets.
L'eau n'aurait pas pu être omise; elle circule librement depuis une pièce en bamboo dans un petit étang avec des poissons et une végétation aquatique. Le site à moitié ombragé est dominé par des fougères géantes, des bambous parapluie et des bananiers. Un banc en bois fait sur mesure et un deck accentuent l'émotion "hygger" du lieu.
Gardénias, jasmins étoilés et sarcocoques relèvent la palette avec leurs parfums enivrants. Transfigurée par un éclairage théâtral réglable, vue depuis l'intérieur et depuis l'extérieur, la scène nocturne fascine.
