Décor AidOur client’s well-defined sense of style is bright, fresh, preppy, and modern, which conflicted with the sensibility of her former home office. The entire space needed to be redesigned, starting with the dark, wooded walls. We re-lacquered the walls with a sky blue color, for a brighter, airier feel.
Once the walls were finished, bold furniture pieces were added, to complement our client’s distinctive style. The pattern used for the custom window treatments matches the two chair pillows, both of which contrast against the solid colors elsewhere in the room. A tall mirror, with a chrome frame, gives the space a larger feel. We reupholstered the chairs with a contrast piping, and the side table was given a custom pink finish.
But it was the fine details and final additions that transformed this home office into a truly individualized space. The Lulu DK Print on the wall, and a few pieces on the bookshelf, gave the space a more personalized feel. The final touch was the Jonathan Adler light fixture, which complimented the modern vibe in this home office, while incorporating our client’s distinctive style.

Rose T Bien-AimeThe goal for this entire home was to design everything in black and white and keep each room interesting, well designed, sophisticated and most of all, timeless. In this black and white office, my client wanted the space to be masculine, graphic & unforgettable. Being an owner of a contracting firm, He wanted to be able to work from home and for the room to be functional for that purpose. He wanted a big desk that would be able to hold two extra-large computer monitors and stylish enough to match the rest of house. I immediately thought of using a dining room table as a desk for his office. The Corin trestle dining table makes the perfect focal point that shines with simple sophistication for his office. It also grounded the room with its waits and its masculine flair. All we needed was a good rug, the right accent chairs, wall art and accents pieces to enhance the core design.

Home Glow DesignThis home office was created from an outbuilding on the property. Seagrass wall-to-wall carpet was installed for ultimate durability and a relaxed vibe. We employed a high-low aesthetic to create a space that was unique but still within budget, utilizing the owner's Stickley desk, a custom desk chair, custom blush Roman shades, a Hudson Valley Fenwater chandelier and sconces, and multiple office items from budget sources like IKEA and The Container Store. O'Hanlon Kitchens, Inc.The homeowner wanted to move the desk area under the stairs to utilize the whole space available for the kitchen. This made it possible to relocate the refrigerator, allowing the cooktop and mantle to be the standalone focal point of the kitchen. The simple white backsplash, pendant lights, and island with built-in bookshelves give this kitchen the feel of tradition without being overbearing.

Riddle Construction & DesignThis beautiful kitchen evokes a Joie de vivre with its vaulted ceilings, rustic beam and soothing blend of materials. The LaCanche range and custom VentAHood are paired with painted cabinetry, quartz countertops and herringbone marble tile. Waterstone faucets and Hudson Valley pendants add the perfect accent touch. The adjacent dining room features a decorative built in hutch for serving and additional storage. A side alcove includes handy desks with a cozy center window seat.
