Smokitz Home Remodel
That is really interesting — a large wide stair with coat pegs going up.
Not sure we can do this - but love the wood (although there is a lot - maybe a bit more balance). and the what looks to be a very comfy couch. Also love clerestory windows!!
YES to smart furniture.
Hmm - interesting to have the counter connected tiny a bench that is used with the dining table.
I think this is a Murphy bed! Interesting option for the downstairs family room to optimize space. I also like having a small wine fridge possible nano kitchen for coffee tea / bar for the downstairs living room. The large rolling door reminds me of an upscale bar door.
Ooh 0 this room divider is very interesting
Hmmm - could this be used down the breezeway downstairs to capture more light?
Wow!
I think i prefer the inset style cabinetry more ...
I really like the wood bookcases that is inlaid into the wall.
I had envisioned this type of s4etup near the TV to have the fireplace extend next to it. Maybe for the downstairs livifamily room
I like an the inlay of tile . Maybe using that for the entryway.. or the hexagonal tile...
Maybe interesting in the downstairs bedroom … or even main and master floor
I like these stairs that have a glass box - but the wood still warms it up. The fireplace is interesting. Simple - but I think I would like some round rocks to contrast the straight lines. I also like the light effect at the top of the fireplace column.
Big fan of herringbone wood floor - gray painted wood. Also like the simplicity of the stairs without a banister.
Love the deduction of space while still being open. Also the dark metal framing around the glass feels almost Parisian - and somewhat classic / timeless The copper accent and simple cabinetry is fantastic.
Attic ?
I really like how everything is hidden away. Everything is in drawers. There has to be a balance of warmth that this doesn’t have.
This may a bit of the current trend- but I like the coin top drawing over the sides. Also like a contrast of material under the counter.
Love how organized the pantry is!!
Fireplace: Maybe in master bedroom? Love it in silver or black. Also love the clear story and inlaid wood accents.
This is a really interesting option. Not sure if this can be done as an insert (vs actual fire place) - and I'm not sure I could do something this bold in color. Like how it's a small organic shape vs rectangular.
Love the low profile look of this (prefer white on white) and the ability to lean art against the wall.
I really love how simple this fireplace is - and the ledge that surrounds it.
I like this 'cantilevered' fireplace - and would love something like this in the Living Room.
I like the simplicity of this fireplace and that it is in the corner of the space. It's almost cantilevered off the wall but still open. I like lava rocks vs fake wood (unless ceramic wood has gotten much more realistic) and the round rocks may balance the hard lines.
Like the different textures of this bathroom.
There is something really interesting of the simple natural wood floor and the painted wood stairs. It also keeps that ‘historic’ feel.
Love how the lines of the house are mirrored in the walls on that plane.
I really like the composition of the succulents.
The texture of these succulents together is amazing!
Driveway?
I like how the registers are integrated into the cement floor.
Potential change to the back deck to land in the yard. Allows for a walkway from the side breezeway while training a nice private space from the downstairs bedroom.
Like the built in bench - as a good use of seating space ... but I'm also curious if chairs would be more airy. I see our current front living room as more of a reading / sitting area with no TV.
Kitchen window - we have that lovely deck outside the kitchen but the window always seemed to small. I would love if we could make the door in the kitchen bigger and the windows larger.
Windows that vent out - interesting for a 'medium sized' solution for the upstairs bedroom. Allows light / air (knowing it will be very hot in the attic).
Wooden stairs attachment to the wall (not the railing or lights near the wall). The wood detail on the stair and riser compared to the white walls. The lighting from the side / bottom is also interesting.
Handles - love that they are simple and clean. Seems like they could live through many years without being 'trendy' or outdated.
Octagon tile transitioning to wood flooring. Love for transition from kitchen to dining / living room and or / from entryway to living room ... or from any hallway from the garage to bedrooms.
I like the way the stone wraps around the vertical plane of the counter. I wish we had done that in the kitchen near the outside surface of the counter near the stove and sink.
Need this - obvi for all our planes. But seriously I like the way (what I think are) dormers still look like a composed part of the house.
Overhang details - seems like a smart and practical way to have a way to shield some from the weather.
Drawers - once again I'm drawn to the handles. I may have a problem that needs therapy. I'm also not mad at the color.
