Stair Rails
I wanted to point out one like this that has the hardwood stair tread, but the riser is painted white. I wouldn't do this. The white riser looks sharp, but shoes will scuff the hell out of them and you'd need to repaint them eventually. Functionally it's better to have them the same stained hardwood as the floor.
This one has a bottom rail, which works with this design because the picket wouldn't extend into the tread. There would be a post every 5 or so treads to anchor the rail. Also, I need to check my code book reference, but I don't think you'd have to have a wall rail like they do. That book is at the office of course...but I'll grab it when I go by sometime.
#AHM- Love this look, very clean, but stair all one solid color may change the look of this.
