Vancouver BC Residence
We had Koa wood shipped from Hawaii to construct all the built-in's and pocket doors. The homeowner split time between Vancouver and Maui and wanted a blend of both for this urban, waterfront, condo in downtown Vancouver. The rooms all had to be family (and dog) friendly, and have a warm, inviting quality. The existing concrete ceilings were dropped enough to allow surface lighting and perimeter ceiling soffits were added for recessed lighting. All audio and video equipment was housed in the custom built-in cabinetry.
