The Japanese style horizontal cedar fencing is also highlighted in this photo. We couldn't purchase the size cedar we wanted for the fencing so we purchased this material in "rough" cedar and milled/ripped it all down to size on site.

Murray Boissery Garden DesignThis garden is a highly structured evergreen courtyard that offers two entertaining spaces. The wrought iron table is for more formal lunches or evening dinners in the summer months. The second entertaining space is bench seating to enjoy a morning or afternoon coffee. The key focal point is a centrally located crabapple (malus ioensis 'Plena' that is underplanted with a clipped buxus hedge.
Art Garden DesignFor this backyard we regarded the entire lot. To maximize the backyard space, we used Redwood boards to created two decks, 1) an upper deck level with the upper unit, with wrapping stairs landing on a paver patio, and 2) a lower deck level with the lower unit and connecting to the main patio. The steep driveway was regraded with drainage and stairs to provide an activity patio with seating and custom built shed. We repurposed about 60 percent of the demoed concrete to build urbanite retaining walls along the Eastern side of the house. A Belgard Paver patio defines the main entertaining space, with stairs that lead to a flagstone patio and spa, small fescue lawn, and perimeter of edible fruit trees.

Spartan LandscapesThe clients was in dire need of a new boundary fence between their properties. The old fence was completely consumed by ivy and had no structural support other than the ivy it self.
The solution was simple but the process was very labour intenive. We began with clearing as much of the ivy as we could.
As the ivy was cut back the old palings and rails came of with it leaving the old timber posts expposed.
The posts were completly rotten and soil level and came out quite easily.
Once the fence line was cleared out we could then proceed to with the new fence build.
