JoanMa Roig - PaisatgismeEl estudio fue contactado por Be.Rethink para llevar a cabo el diseño del jardín para esta propiedad llamada, hasta entonces, Casa Celma. La arquitectura original es de Jordi Capella, arquitecto y creativo catalán. Se encuentra en pleno parque natural del Garraf, en un típico paisaje mediterráneo meridional. Rodeado de encinar y pinar de pino blanco, que se agarran al terreno pedregoso y calcáreo del lugar. La intervención paisajística pretende respetar el lugar y la arquitectura existente (con reforma por parte de EXIT Projectes), mediante muros de piedra, materiales nobles -madera, metal, gresa- y una selección de planta mediterranea de muy fácil adaptación. Los lugares con tanta presencia de piedra madre en superficie, obliga a escoger muy bien qué y dónde plantar. Sin olvidar que es un jardín, con su atmosfera y su estética.

Urban Oasis Landscape DesignWe built a striking new pergola with a graphic steel-patterned roof to make a covered seating area. Along with creating shade, the roof casts a movie reel of shade patterns throughout the day. Now there is ample space to kick back and relax, watching the sun spread its glow on the surrounding hillside as it makes its slow journey down the horizon towards sunset.
Charles Di Piazza ArchitectureTexas French Bread Garden occupies a space between the public and private - an appropriate gesture for a site that buffers a neighborhood from a local eatery. The garden consists of a seating area arranged behind layers of native plantings, low walls, and rain gardens. These devices create a space that at once opens and closes itself to views and accessibility.

UserThis garden had an historic collection of native California and Mexican fan palms, clustered around a water-needy lawn. We removed the lawn, added a new layer of drought tolerant smaller palms, and an underplanting of mediterranean type shrubs and perennials.
Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.Our client contacted us wanting to create a relatively maintenance free yard that focuses on relaxing family time spent in the sun as opposed to yard work. We designed and built the project utilizing synthetic grass, aggregate bedding and wonderful paving stone patio with a large cedar privacy pergola as the main focal point. Lighting & concrete edging along with step stones finished off this stunning project!!
Wild Earth Art Landscape Design & ConstructionThe native ”pollinator meadow” gives all the functionality of a traditional lawn but reduces water use. Incorporation of native herbs into the meadow increases biodiversity, and provides herbal and floral harvest potential.
California native plants mix with culinary edimentals throughout the garden space, to maximize biodiversity for animal and human enjoyment. Vertical space was utilized with a diversity of vining plants to create privacy and living green walls around the perimeter of the garden spaces.
Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.Our client contracted us to design and build a functional and interesting water front project that had to be family friendly!! They wanted a cozy fire pit area that also contained a 3 piece natural rock bubbler. They also wanted a spa area with lounger space for sunbathing as well as a beach area for sandcastles and beach toy storage. No expense was spared with a custom pergola, natural rock retaining and steps as well as landscape lighting and well placed trees and shrubs. Concrete edge and aggregate beds make for a low maintenance dream yard!!

Urban Oasis Landscape DesignA sumptuous palette of yellow and purple plants graces the slope. It’s a lush and biodiverse selection of California natives and the spirited expanse of flowers and foliage grounds the new house into the surrounding hillside. Aromatic native Sages, Monkey Flower and Yarrow play off the rich green of Coyote Bush while native Blonde Ambition Blue Grama grass brushes the magenta pom-pom flowers of Pink Melaleuca tree. The tight purple flowers of California Lilac complement the open faced California Sunflower. A Coast Live Oak was planted to stand sentry over all. Plants are all hardy and highly drought tolerant. The Kurapia groundcover lawn is verdant but, once established, hardly needs watering. The constant buzzing and bird warbling create a soothing natural soundtrack.
