Twisted Rock Terrascape & Design, Inc.Another great acreage project with fantastic flow and functionality!! Utilizing natural rock and rundle for bedding as well as some bullet-proof plantings this project has great curb appeal and is easy to maintain. Mowers edge makes cutting the grass easy and all the plantings are contained within buttoned up beds. Landscape lighting and accent boulders add to the dramatic scape. PS, the little tree in the front out by the street was planted by the developer and has since been removed.

UserThis garden had an historic collection of native California and Mexican fan palms, clustered around a water-needy lawn. We removed the lawn, added a new layer of drought tolerant smaller palms, and an underplanting of mediterranean type shrubs and perennials.

UserThis garden design for the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show consisted of 9 regularly spaced reflective pools with planting surrounding each. Inspired by the Roman Baths in Bath, these perfect squares suggested the regularity of the Hypocaust columns and serve as a reminder of the city’s relationship with water.
The concept for the planting is ‘A modern meadow’; the mix of forms and colours is intentionally unusual. Well defined flower heads and shrubs in the foreground contrast against a hazy ‘fluffy’ backdrop evocative of steam rising from the hot spring water.
The use of plants such as euphorbia, lavender, santolina and rosemary combined with breedon gravel paths evoke a mediterranean feel.
Native Edge LandscapeThese homeowners were looking to up their hosting game by modernizing their property to create the ultimate entertainment space. A custom outdoor kitchen was added with a top of the line Delta Heat grill and a special nook for a Big Green Egg. Flagstone was added to create asymmetrical walkways throughout the yard that extended into a ring around the fire pit. Four rectangular trellises were added along the fence and shed, with an all metal pergola located at the back of the pool. This unique structure immediately draws the eye and adds a playful, artistic element to the rest of the space. The use of various sized rocks, gravel, and flagstone give a rough texture that creates a symbiosis with the metalwork. Silver Falls Dichondra creates a beautiful contrast to the rocks and can be found all over the property along with various other grasses, ferns, and agave. A large area of gravel rests on the side of the house, giving the client room to park a recreational vehicle. In front, a privacy fence was added along one of the property lines, leading into a drought resistant, eco-friendly section of yard. This fence, coupled with a giant boulder, doubles as a safety precaution in case drivers miss the turn and run into their lawn. This updated landscaping adds an effortless flow for guests to move from the front yard to the back while creating a very open, welcoming feel to all who enter.

Beaudry Garden DesignThis property was covered with pink rock when our client called us. In an effort to be gentle on the environment, and to save money, the client took our suggestion to work with what they had by incorporating more contrasting rock to bring the property together in a cohesive design. The clients are active birders and wanted to grow their own food including vegetables and fruits. We worked with interior designer, Nikki Klugh, to select gorgeous furniture to compliment the design.

We added paving stone borders to their driveway and also an extended seating area off of the back patio in pavers to tie it all in. We then did exposed aggregate sidewalk and steps down the walkout and tied that into the patio for practical and functional hard scape. A dry river bed theme kept in sync with the community and we utilized a lot of natural stone and materials. Landscape lighting and well placed plantings as well as concrete mowers edge round off this beautifully constructed yard. Enjoy!!
