UserThis beautiful front yard landscape has a paver walk way way with a paver entry way as well. The focal point of the landscape is the raised stucco planter with the palm tree in it. Sitting under the windows of the house, there are columns that have copper planters with sculptural desert plants and in the garden beds are yellow flowering plants. All of this is tied nicely together with the green of the artificial turf!!
Antenora ArchitectsWhile it is a modest 2,500 sf, the Courtyard Residence is richly appointed with stone, steel and wood details. This photo shows the tongue and groove porch ceiling, steel brackets at the roof eave and the beautiful drystack limestone underpinnng. Please note the roof drain cleverly hidden in the stone work.

Hawkeye Landscape DesignA Southwest style courtyard was designed for family and critters to enjoy an enclosed outdoor space. The 'elk mountain' flagstone path winds thru a cactus garden featuring a 'mancave macho mocha, 'old man cactus and euphorbia tirucali. The perennial garden has a 'caesalpinia pulcherrima', vitex purpurea', cuphea ignea. The sitting garden includes a Furcrea mediopicta (mexico), Leucophyllum frutescens silver leaf (Rio Bravo), and Grevillea'long john'
Sitting at the mesquite table one can enjoy the re-circulating boulder fountain which attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Brightly colored mexican tile enhances the barbecue. The fireplace with built-in light box has a private sitting area surrounded by an Aloe tree, acacia cultriformis and strelitzia juncea (South Africa)
Bloom Concrete & Landscape DesignThis craftsman style front yard was plain and simple before. We created a concrete path/steps to the front door and retaining walls to create planting beds in the sloped front yard. The retaining walls are built out of Borgert Madera wall blocks. On the upper terrace we created a raised vegetable garden space with corrugated metal planters.
UserThis is Canyon Crest Park in Valley Ranch. This was the first of several parks we designed to attract pollinators and educate residents on low water gardens for pollinators. We love working with HOA's to create park and public spaces where residents can enjoy the wonders of Nature! Often projects like this require the partnership of several organizations such as the HOA, City staff, National Wildlife Federation, US Fish and Wildlife, Flood Control Districts, and commercial landscape companies. When these partnerships are created, and you have a good habitat landscape designer, the results are wonderful! Improving communities with the wonders of Nature!
