One option was at the end of the room opposite the patio door, where it would be front and center in the view from the kitchen looking out. Atlanta Curb AppealOur design team came up with some great solutions! First, we added the fireplace to extend outdoor enjoyment into the cooler months. Of course, the roof and screens make rainy summer afternoons a bit more enjoyable, too. We also agreed to add four 24X48 skylights to the roof so that the light would continue to illuminate the interior of the home.
Degnan Design-Build-RemodelA tall baseboard was installed by lead carpenter PJ Ender, allowing electrical outlets to be placed around the perimeter of the room, under the windows, while the windows still have the feeling of going all the way to the floor.

Degnan Design-Build-RemodelOur clients Chris and Serena approached us in order to create a more usable porch for their backyard and pool. Clients who have a parade home less than 10 years old, they already had an existing screen porch. However, they're in a rural and windy neighborhood. Things were constantly getting wet from rain blowing in and dirty from dust blowing in. At some points, the breeze would actually make it uncomfortable to use in cooler weather. They wanted something that would make their lives easier by protecting their porch furniture, and that would extend the usability of the porch into more seasons. A three-season room was going to be the right answer.
Degnan Design-Build-RemodelThe porch has a stamped concrete floor, and the pool area also has a surrounding stamped concrete patio. There was no reason to change any of this.
