ArtichokeInspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this stone new-build property in Cheshire is unlike any other Artichoke has previously contributed to. We were invited to remodel the kitchen and the adjacent living room – both substantial spaces – to create a unique bespoke Art Deco kitchen. To succeed, the kitchen needed to match the remarkable stature of the house.
With its corner turret, steeply pitched roofs, large overhanging eaves, and parapet gables the house resembles a castle. It is well built and a lovely design for a modern house. The clients moved into the 17,000 sq. ft mansion nearly 10 years ago. They are gradually making it their own whilst being sensitive to the striking style of the property.

ArchitecTor, PCNeutral colors and organic materials like wood, stone and brick complements the architeure of this contmeporary desrt home. The herring bone pattern on the floor is reflectected with the use of brick in the coffered dining room ceiling. The use of black tile and cabinetry makes a bold statements against the neutral palette of stone, wood and brick.
| SPIRAL ARCHITECTS |A detail of the bar tucked under the exterior stairway adjacent to the entry. The millwork detailing was inspired by original Evans' working drawings which had been found in Vienna at a furniture manufacturer that had been selected to provide furnishings for the Rose Eisendrath House in nearby Tempe, Arizona, around 1930.

California RenovationA closeup view of our client's newest countertops in their Agave Cantina and Grill. We custom cut and fit the grey quartz countertops to the pre-existing bar as well as created spaces within the countertop that would accommodate their gambling tablets. Quartz's minimalist design adds to the modern sleekness of this space, but the grey color adds to the southwestern aesthetic that our client had established.
