Round windows and cedarwood accent panel.
This tropical modern coastal Tiny Home is built on a trailer and is 8x24x14 feet. The blue exterior paint color is called cabana blue. The large circular window is quite the statement focal point for this how adding a ton of curb appeal. The round window is actually two round half-moon windows stuck together to form a circle. There is an indoor bar between the two windows to make the space more interactive and useful- important in a tiny home. There is also another interactive pass-through bar window on the deck leading to the kitchen making it essentially a wet bar. This window is mirrored with a second on the other side of the kitchen and the are actually repurposed french doors turned sideways. Even the front door is glass allowing for the maximum amount of light to brighten up this tiny home and make it feel spacious and open. This tiny home features a unique architectural design with curved ceiling beams and roofing, high vaulted ceilings, a tiled in shower with a skylight that points out over the tongue of the trailer saving space in the bathroom, and of course, the large bump-out circle window and awning window that provides dining spaces.

This is a classic southern style cottage nestled on a wooded lot with a screened in porch, operable shutters on large windows with transoms. The roof is stylishly detailed with open rafter tails and decorative roof brackets. The Old Chicago Brick skirt adds a classic look. The cottage has a detached carport and storage shed with a covered walkway and an outdoor kitchen and living area. It was built by Achee Properties and designed by Bob Chatham Custom Home Design.

One of the key attributes of Muskoka are the numerous boathouses nestled on the shorelines of all the major lakes. In addition to docking a boat, many of these boathouses feature beautiful sitting rooms, bathrooms, exercise rooms and grand bedrooms. Boathouses can be fixed to the shore, floating or on piles nestled in the Lake. They are very distinctive aspect of Ontario's cottage country and sometimes when you are boating past you can get a peak some of the prized Muskoka antique wood boat nestled inside.

One distinctive feature of this house is the corbels and small cornices above each window and the front door. To help the shape of the corbels stand out, a contrast color was selected for underneath the cornices, and also used as contrast for the soffit beneath the roofline, as what might be dentil moulding in another house is a row of smaller corbels punctuated by a few larger ones, against the soffit. All of the corbels are the same white as the door frame, window frames, and the cornices themselves.

The Four Square style, popular in the 1910’s and 20’s suburbs, is a variation on the Arts & Crafts style, and also draws influence from the Prairie style architecture made famous by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Chesapeake 10 has the low-pitched hip roofs, dormers and large overhangs supported by large paired decorative brackets that is one of the identifiers of this style. The front porch, with its masonry piers topped by squat, stylized columns were common in Four Square homes. The Chesapeake’s symmetrical facade, oversized 1-over-1 windows, and horizontal lines are all typical of this distinctly American style.
