“Katie Pashel has a quality that is becoming rarer among the noise of modern communication: she listens carefully and HEARS what the client is saying. We hired Katie to undertake the creation of much needed living spaces in our 100-year-old home after interviewing multiple architects. The other architects acted as if they were listening to our vision but then turned around and offered alternative visions that ignored our specific requests. While creative ideas are always welcome, it is important to feel that the architect, designer or contractor first respects the input of the client, especially if the client has very clear ideas of what is wanted. And what is not. Katie has an amazing capacity to be patient with our passion for details and is always gracious with her feedback on what may work within our home or what constraints we have to be aware of. Katie reviews feedback thoughtfully and makes revisions or suggestions based on our comments without letting ego get in the way. She has created designs that work with our desired budget and offers practical ideas to help meet the challenges of an old house. She also respects the architecture of the house in that she offers modern ideas without trying to remove or diminish the house's historic character. She created design concepts from our long wish list for a master bathroom and converted an enclosed 1930s porch we refer to as our 'Winchester Mystery Room', into a functional and well proportioned space. She faced every possible challenge: multiple uneven connections to the adjacent roof areas, height limitations, window restrictions, layout challenges due to the proposed bathroom being located above a kitchen and old house bones with uncertain structural issues. Despite all these headaches, Katie has always stayed positive and encouraging when we have felt frustrated or discouraged with the bumps-in-the-road. “Bahi and Mariela are truly a unique find and I thank my lucky stars everyday that we discovered them for our home remodel. We added about 1000 sq ft to our 1500 sq ft home, and took down all but the foundation and studs of the initial footprint. Not only did Bahi and Mariela fully integrate the new construction into a seamless floor plan, but every piece of it is so incredibly unique and stunning. They completely designed a new roof that creatively resolves the 8 foot plates from the initial walls to the 9 foot plates of the new construction, and you would never know it as all you see is a gorgeous elevation that is absolutely stunning. I am absolutely in love with the outside of the house. And then the inside...WOW! Our new common space is an open concept with beautiful architectural accents and high ceilings. We wanted open concept, but we also wanted each space to be defined in some way so they designed the most beautiful details in the ceilings above the spaces including vaulted, tray, and crown molding accented elements. The end result is that when people walk in, they often tell us it's one of the best homes they have ever seen. Several have told us it is their dream home and would love to build the same design somewhere. We owe that to Bahi and Mariela for working so diligently to add just the right touches that would make our home beautiful. I feel like I am living in a gem that nobody else could have dreamed up but them. And not only is our house extraordinary, but Bahi and Mariela were the nicest people to work with the whole project. I am so glad we hired them and now have a beautiful home to call ours for years to come. Thank you 360 design studio!!!!”

“I was introduced to Bess through a previous Designer I worked with who was retiring her business. She felt Bess would be a good fit for me and my job, and I knew from our first meeting she was right. Bess and her Studio 3 team came on the job when we completed the basic house conceptual plan. Her input and ideas only further enhanced the function of the floor plan. As well, her knowledge, expertise and practical approach has been so valuable especially as this is my first major house remodel. I have quickly found how easy it is to keep expanding the plan as well as the budget! She does a great job keeping me on track and realistic, which my husband appreciates! Bess has guided us through our Phase 1 of the crazy permit process for an in law quarters and is now assisting with our phase 2, the rest of the house., all the while setting expectations of how to work with the city. She is also great when working with your personal choice of contractors, although she provides her own top notch referrals. Her team is friendly and responsive. We still have a ways to go, but she is willing to work with you on what services you need in regards to your budget, which I appreciate. I've been in Real Estate for 13 years, and one thing I've learned is when you find great vendors, partner with them, keep using them and refer them! I've referred Studio 3 to two people / clients with different styles and both have been thrilled to work with her.
