KITCHEN I like the idea of having a built in butcher block. But I’d rather have mine below the c/top surface. Having the waste bins under this top is also ideal. No wider than 36”.
KITCHEN Grant’s warm wood tones with my plain face
KITCHEN This might be a thought for the kitchen. Having a prep island and then an eating island instead of a dining area?
Fun dual height island. I like the wood top.
Ideal pantry organization. Ideal to be large enough to accommodate an upright freezer
STAIRS Modern, open riser, solid tread
STAIRS Sleek Railing
FEATURES Smart Blinds
MASTER Architecture is our prefered method of "decorating". I'm not into having a lot of things sitting about that just turn into eye clutter. What I like about this master is the bed has an upolstered headboard, with the architectural detail of the wall behind it. I would also like lighting that can be controlled bedside via a wall switch.
MILLWORK I like the pattern on the door.
EN SUITE Fun wall to wall shower niche
TILE I like this installation pattern.
EN SUITE DONTS It takes me about 30 seconds to do my makeup, I do not have a need for a sit down vanity.
POWDER ROOM This is a fun design element. Tile probably wouldn't be in our budget for this room, but we're not apposed to other methods (wallpaper, etc.)
POWDER ROOM Fun vanity with the mirror detail. Wall-mount faucets are not a big enough design detail to want to budget for them, however much I like them.
EN SUITE DONTS The stool needs to be in its own private room.
EN SUITE DONTS We have no need for a tub / free standing soaking tub
BATHROOM DONTS I don't think I'm a big fan of sconces. Too much uneven lighting for on each side of the mirror.
EN SUITE Fully enclosed shower with a glass transom/awning above the doorway, we'd like to look into a steam shower. Having a steam shower I would then need a long bench that I can stretch out on.
EN SUITE / BATHROOMS A lighted mirror instead of a mirror with sconces / vanity bar light.
EN SUITE I like the thought of dual shower head/controls & each our own private shower niche for storage.
EN SUITE I like the wood tone with the (is that concrete?) concrete look. Large scale tiles. Rainshower head is cool, but again budget... *shrug*
LIVING The TV does not need to be centered over a fireplace, but there does need to be both.
LIVING Modern fireplace, unconventional fireplace focal point. This exact design is far out of our budget, but finding a similar concept.
LIVING Non-conventional fireplace. I like the storage along the main wall that can be utilized as seating/hearth, etc.
KITCHEN Floating shelf acception. The more i look at the images I post, most of them have the double oven with the range top. Not sure how this will work in our overall budget, but it's a pretty important room in the house so I'm sure we can find a way to make it work.
KITCHEN I'm not sure what's all going on here layout wise, but it's interesting to me. A nice nook area to hide my mess while my pretty stuff is displayed while entertaining. The more I look at it the more I like it.
KITCHEN Enclosed seating, not just a giant island to sit around. Also provides more storage on the backside since I'm not trying to sit 1000 people around my island. *This opinion may change over the next few years*
KITCHEN Cabinet orgnization
KITCHEN I like the window as the backsplash.
KITCHEN Yeah! I like this pantry. An open spot for my kitchnaid, drawers for accessories, etc. I like it a lot.
KITCHEN If open shelving needs to be incorporated, I like this look more than just a floating shelf.
KITCHEN We don't do coffee, but I do have a kitchenaid. A hidden storage space *similar* to this would be nice, so I do not have to lift/get out the mixer every time I wanted to use it. I like the idea of this hinge, but I feel the cabinet access is poor unless the cabinet itself is placed higher (so the door doesn't swing up into your face).
KITCHEN An acception to wall cabinetry, again. The wall cabinets don't really look like cabinets, IMO.
CABINETRY I like frameless/full access.
KITCHEN DONTS I do not like much of anything in this kitchen. The small skinny backsplash, huge hood stack, dark cabinetry.
KITCHEN | DINING We're pretty informal when it comes to meals, so I'm not against an incorporated dining table design if it can save us square footage for living area. But, spaced out enough to where my kitchen work zone isn't crammed.
KITCHEN I like it. It's probably too bright white, if anything. I like the detail on the island, how the cabinetry is flush with the drywall. Main issues: too white, having a double oven means I have to dedicate countertop to a hot plate, sink is in the island, no seating at the island.
KITCHEN Too white.
Too dark! I like light & bright!
KITCHEN Since I want a minimal/bare kitchen, a walk in pantry is a must. We do not have the budget for this type of pantry... sandly. ;-)
KITCHEN The exception to "wall cabinets". Prefer limited or no shelves.
I like all the lighting details added into this kitchen. I also like a metal hood, not necessarily stainless steel.
KITCHEN DONTS I do not want my sink in the island, nor does it have to be in front of a window.
