Basement, Bathroom Laundry
I like this door to add light into the bathroom space while maintaining privacy JK 10/13/21 - As a follow up to our design meeting on 10/07/21, I believe guests would not feel comfortable using the toilet with this style of door, plus the positioning of the bath door will not allow natural light to flow in. Better to invest in good lighting inside the bathroom.
Could we reuse the existing shower but add this subway tile around it? JK 10/13/21 - A reasonable shower compromise is to install a new pre-fab shower pan and then tile the walls. That's a significant upgrade over the budget-friendly 4-piece units. A pre-fab pan goes in quickly and there are some nice units on the market.
Not my favorite but shows the sprayed ceiling look JK 10/13/21 - There is no magic answer for you basement ceiling. Maybe we do drywall in the family room and spray the rest. FYI: Sound control in your house is going to be tough and an open, spray painted ceiling will do nothing to control sound transmission. Drywall will help but will not solve the issue.
Something like this with a updated basement laundry would be nice- a place too for the dog to get washed up?
JK 10/13/21 - Nice, bright, simple.
