Like the "dotted line" separation between kitchen and living room, with the window and door/walkway. Wonder if you could add some storage to that wall and ways to close off the openings, like a sliding door for when people are talking or watching movie in the living room and there's noise in the kitchen.

idea: laundry space saver for items that should lie flat to dry where air can flow top + bottom.
Like: non-white lower cabinet, clever storage (island) that window to the next room + bench seating is pretty cool open-ish / connected-but-separate idea
non-white kitchen
like: non-white (green) lower cabinets, plus interesting detail on the front. Single spout that also functions as sprayer hose, the handle that's easy to operate with one hand -- choose a water temp and leave it there -- vs 2 separate knobs (hot, cold)
like: non-white kitchen elements. textures/patterns
like: feels bright, open non-white, the bottom cabinets feel clean. dislike: open top shelving.
like: closed and non-white (blue) cabinets, colorful (maybe a bit too colorful?)
Like: - Enclosed storage. - Looks like single large counter piece on island. No grout. Kind of like (uncertain) - Double level cabinet storage (top storage for things I want in kitchen, but use very infrequently). Not necessarily keen on the color palette.
Example of not-white kitchen, but do not like. Too "shabby chic/country kitchen" even if updated.
Like: enclosed + clean-feeling cabinets
Like: feels bright, warm airy and clean, but might be going a bit too modern with the high-gloss orange counter. Also like the see through fire place and the seating near it.
Likes: clean feeling cabinets + enclose storage, although this palette feels a little dark and the high gloss feels maybe a bit too modern. That particular wood tone + texture feels a bit strange with the high-gloss black floor and the island, but maybe it fits with the rest of the house.
Like: non-white enclosed cabinets. I'm not sure if I like the separate top row of storage or not.
Like: Mostly enclosed storage, area for multiple stations/people (bench seating, island), colorful but not too dark Dislike: - Open shelving
Like: - Bright, open, airy, clean, colorful (no white) Disklike: Open upper shelving
