Novak Design Co.These clients are in their forever condo. They had it renovated before reaching out to us. However, removing a wall in their great room created a very large and complex space to plan for.
They tried to fill it with a very large sectional but never used it.
They have spent many years traveling and collecting items that were very sentimental to them but felt that their treasures were not being displayed in the best way.

BANDYOPADHYAY interior+communicationDie Lampe Folded ist von dem jungen niederländischen Designer Pepe Heykoop, der seine Produkte in einem Social Design Projekt in Indien entwickeln und herstellen lässt. Das weiße 2-Sitzer Sofa kann mit einem Handgriff zum praktischen Schlafsofa ausgeklappt werden. Der Papierlampenschirm macht das warmweiße Licht sehr atmosphärisch weich und erinnert an das Licht klassischer japanischer Papierlampen. Der Farbton der Wände erscheint im künstlichen Licht dunkler und lädt zum Ausruhen ein.

House of a Different ColorHome office design. Previously a blank slate room: beige carpet and walls. Used client's existing desk and repurposed her antique lingerie chest for office supply storage. About half of the wall art was already owned by the client, but we reframed some pieces and added some. Picked up the rug, corner chair, side table, lamp, and small decor pieces from auctions and estate sales for pennies on the dollar. Client painted the accent wall herself, to save costs. Flooring was done in LVP as a whole-home re-flooring job at the start of the condo renovation, during which all flooring throughout the home was replaced with LVP except in bedrooms. Cost for materials, furniture, and decor purchased for this room was under $750; with flooring cost for this space added, it would be approximately $2,000 all in.

Just the ThingA mural of pink peonies, scaled to fit the longest wall in the room, is strategically positioned as a Zoom backdrop. Walls match the mural’s off-black background, as if the artist had painted directly on them. Highlighting the tall windows, black painted frames add graphic interest against the cream sills. Simple cream drapery emphasizes the ceiling height while absorbing sound and adding warmth. A huge custom rug unifies the seating and working areas and further contributes to the hushed atmosphere.
In order for this room to feel more like a retreat and less like an office, we used regular furniture pieces in non-standard ways. The client’s heirloom dining table serves as a writing table. A pair of brass and glass consoles holds printer, stationery, and files as well as decorative items. A cream lacquered linen sideboard provides additional storage. A pair of cushy swivel chairs serves multiple functions – facing a loveseat and bench to create a cozy seating area, facing each other for intimate discussions, and facing the desk for more standard business meetings.
Sage Key InteriorsThis small office is only 9 x 10 with a storage area in the back. We used curtains to separate the storage area from the office area and give us a beautiful background. The bookcases, custom painted in colors to match the fabric house books, supplies and etc for every day work. A small seating area across from the desk allows clients, family or guests to talk comfortably.
UserPetite dépendance (maison de gardien) en lambris verni transformé en bureau. Les lambris (y compris au plafond) ont été repeints en blanc et le sol en parquet abîmé a été repeint en gris. Cet espace est devenu plus féminin.
