South Beach Residence at the Continuum
How can you add interest to a space that is one big room? We played with the angular dropped ceiling soffits along with the geometric wall units. By taking away just a bit of the ceiling height we created the feeling of a higher one. This also allowed us to add the lighting to create different moods for day and evening. The electrified draperies along the entire window wall can be closed for a completely different feeling. Black out screens are hidden in the ceiling. The foreground of the photo has a dining area that is open and created by using the curved banquette for seating.
