Inspiration fireplace design. As we've discussed, I recommend adding a concrete mantle to limit heat exposure to the TV. - Knight’s: we agree on the mantle. We’ve settled on a 55” TV. Also, please note that we definitely want a hearth spanning the entire length of the fire place — maybe 12” out from the face. Darlene: Yes, agree. the hearth I've drawn does span the whole length of the fireplace as you requested. It is 14" deep with an overhang of 1.5".
