Here you can see another example of making the home contemporary in style, with the floor to ceiling, glass enclosure for the wine room. You can also see how we turned the corner and carried the cabinet panel along the wall. It is hard to make out but there is a hidden, push to open door, that leads into the walk in pantry. A subtle detail but we thought it would provide a touch if interest along this wall surface.

L/L Design - Build - FurnishOur client purchased this home and knew he wanted a wine cellar incorporated into the space, but didn't just want a small wall style. He knew he would never use the existing dining room, so this was the space selected for the transformation.
Lots of planning and details went into the process to make sure the mechanicals would support the temperature control, and also to blend the old world Italian heritage into a traditional home setting.
We nailed it on giving him a unique look, with high end custom finishes noticed at every angle.
This room remodel is very much enjoyed on a daily basis.

GRP Handcrafted CabinetryThis custom-designed ribbon mahogany wine room was fitted within a climate-controlled room. It was designed to hold standard, magnum, and specialty bottles in all formats, for a total of 2,800 bottles. Uniquely built specially configured elements allowed for wine bottles of all shapes and sizes to fit perfectly with the racks. One wall was created with a radius. Materials were wood, stone, leather, and tile.

Charles River Wine CellarsOur client requested a showpiece wine cellar for this showpiece island location…and we were happy to deliver it. This cellar has it all: French limestone accenting custom white oak wine racking and millwork, limestone arched niches with a bush-hammer finish, reclaimed oak cooperage, and a barrel ceiling, are among the finer details. Accessible through two separate entries from both wings of the home, take the spiral staircase or stroll down the hallway, which also provides ample bin and case storage, to enter this stunning wine cellar. A perfect gathering spot to take in a classic vintage after a day of taking in the panoramic oceanfront view outside.

L/L Design - Build - FurnishOur client purchased this home and realized he was never going to use the formal dining room, and one thing that I highly believe in is we should use our homes the way we want to live in them… Thus his dream of a wine room was soon underway.
We spent many months planning, designing, revising the designs, to make sure this investment was going to be exactly what he wanted.
The results truly tell the story. No detail was left unfinished: from the hand stained walnut cabinets, to the precise countertop ogee edging seamlessly flowing into the walnut cabinet edging. Custom trim at the HVAC ceiling vents as well as the wine cooler vent at the toe kick. Dimmable lighting all around, speakers system, optic clear glass doors with custom family name etching.
This is truly a meeting place, entertaining paradise, and remarkable home wine cellar.

Une transformation impressionnante pour laisser place à une belle cave à vin, ainsi qu’à une salle de cinéma, une buanderie et un hammam.
Pour ce chantier, nous avons répondu à plusieurs enjeux :
La mise en place d’un drain intérieur pour capter les remontées d’humidité
Le piquage des anciens enduits ciment et l’application d’un enduit perspirant à la chaux
Le décaissage de la pièce accueillant le hammam
L’aménagement menuisé de la cave à vin
De nouveaux espaces épurés et chaleureux qui viennent agrandir cette maison.
