Courtyard from the Outside
The same courtyard as viewed before entering the space. The brick archway serves as the threshold between the driveway and courtyard. The two spaces on either side are profoundly different from one another. The frontyard, an open formal greeting to visitors. The courtyard, a more intimate gathering space. The archway serves as the gateway between the two.
