Living Room layout help!
We have recently moved into a new house and I cannot work out the best layout for our living room, to get things off the wall.
Its fairly spacious but large windows (which now thankfully have blinds & curtains!), radiators and door means we cant quite get the layout right and aligned without chopping up the room.
We will build on furniture /decor, but the L shape sofa (sadly until kids are older and less grubby!) & tv unit will remain.
Any help or tips would be welcome!

3 anni faHi Becky, I have some possible layout ideas, as I am unsure of the room measurements some of the layouts my not be possible. You may notice I have added a chair/armchair, layout 5 is pretty much what you have now, by adding the chair brings the room together as (like you said) bringing it off the wall. Sometimes a room needs breaking up. Think flow, how much of the space you actually use and what furniture you use most, for example: access to the toy box will be essential but do you always need access to the dresser, in which case layout 6 may be better? Layout 3 doesn’t flow so well but it might work for you as it brings furniture off the walls while still being able to keep an eye on the kids playing in the corner. I hope these ideas help or create new ideas.

(9) commentiRingrazio entrambi per l'attenzione e rispondo: il bagno padronale ho pensato di metterlo li in quanto è più vicino all' uso da parte di ospiti in living room. d' accordissimo su un ampia doccia dove poter stare anche da seduti, e la mia idea è quella di svilupparla frontalmente la porta d'ingresso spostando un pò la finestra, separata da una parete a vetro dal resto del bagno (allego un disegnino, scusate la pochezza delle misure, è fatto con paint). In merito al taglio più contemporaneo con diminuzione degli spazi di passaggio e miglioramento delle divisioni zone notte/giorno non saprei cosa fare: se per caso avete voglia di suggerire qualche disegno/opzione o cambiamento ulteriore ve ne sarei grato. p.s. l'appartamento è disposto con camera da letto a nord. impianto di riscaldamento a pavimento. fotovoltaico e pompa di calore.... mostra di piùOUTDOOR FURNITURE – LIVING DESIGN EXPERIENCE

(5) commentiBuona sera, potrebbe creare una cucina-pranzo-soggiorno nella parte più ampia. Potrebbe così avere anche una camera da letto padronale grande con il bagno privato accessibile dalla camera o a scelta una cabina armadio, una altra camera da letto dall'altro lato ed un bagno di servizio. Lo spazio è ottimizzabile ma serve un rilievo metrico laser completo così da poter studiare ed ottimizzare al massimo gli spazi in maniera realistica. (57) commentiAscoltami cara, voglio esser franco, la maggior parte degli architetti qui hanno cercato di darti dei consigli, ma proprio perché architetti (quindi interessati ad un eventuale lavoro) devono per forza esser diplomatici, io che qui non sono un ”pro” ne sono architetto, ma un semplice utente appassionato di design,posso permettermi di esser più sincero. Nella vita,il mio lavoro, ho un’impresa edile,di case ville, appartamenti ne ho ristrutturate e costruite varie... ebbene, una casa singola brutta come il tuo progetto per fortuna non mi è mai capitata! :-) Non è questione di darti degli spunti, occorrerebbe riprogettarla da zero per sortirne qualcosa di decoroso. qualche architetto ha cercato di fartelo capire dicendoti “sembra una ristrutturazione” o “probabilmente ti sei spiegata male col geom sui tuoi desideri” e mostrandoti foto di progetti belli ed equilibrati, ma tu perseveri a rispondere con i tuoi mobili da tenere, i tuoi mobili puoi tenerli, ma sarebbe il caso di metterli dentro ad una bella villa costruita e progettata con criterio, non in una casa brutta,fatta ad elle (proprio non capisco il motivo) con una disposizione dei locali interni dove entri in camera ed hai di fronte il fianco di un armadio! Non credi? Mia suocera (che considero una delle persone peggiori e più ignoranti al mondo) se le dessi carta e penna e le chiedessi di progettare una casa, la disegnerebbe meglio! :-) capisci il problema???... mostra di più

3 anni faShauni, what fabulous suggestions! The only thing I would add is a rug to bring everything together. Not everyone likes a rug on a carpet, but I think it would fill that empty space. A coffee table or footstool in the middle of the seating would also be a lovely addition especially if they have storage.

if so, you could do this but pull the sofa away from everything a bit. I agree it’s missing the rug, chair etc
please IGNORE what I’ve used, I had to find things on the right angle to match the camera angle 😂 . I should also have made the rug a bit bigger looking at it!
