Help with Design

Hi,
We are in the process of designing the living room.
The room will eventually be painted Dulux Natural Calico with light brown American oak skirting and matching doors with white roman blinds. The flooring will be light brown laminate oak throughout the ground floor.
We have bought the sofa and have our heart set on the attached tv stand.
Can you help us decide on a coffee table and if this combination works?
Also, we are after a design which flows through the house. The kitchen will have cream gloss cabinets with an oak worktop. This can be changed if anyone has better ideas. The back wall in the kitchen will be exposed red brick.
