“We recently completed a major renovation on the upper floor of our bungalow. The major part of the reno was to flip the two biggest spaces where our kitchen became our new living room and our living room became our new kitchen. This idea was partly inspired by Christine but completely supported.
We had done virtually nothing to our home since purchasing it in 1995 so this was a very new process for us. Christine was incredibly patient as we considered idea after idea. She had a demeanour that kept us on track and made us feel like our ideas had merit. She wanted us to take the lead on the design because it was our home. But she then took our ideas and created a picture where we could see the transformation from a project to a home.
Christine made this process as easy as it could be for us. She took care of some little things along the way just when she could sense it was a little overwhelming. She was reassuring through the entire process and we felt that her genuine effort to make a personal connection made a huge difference.
Perhaps the biggest compliment we can give her is that when we walked into our new home the project was completed exactly how we envisioned it. And it felt like home. Christine deserves a lot of the credit for making that happen.”

“We hired Teahen Construction to do a full reno of our ensuite bathroom, and we could not have been happier. Everyone we dealt with was professional and respectful, and that really helped make the project as stress-free as it possibly could have been.
Every day the guys arrived to work, they were happy and courteous - I can't stress enough how good it feels to leave your house to people who genuinely wants to make it better and clearly take pride in their work. They also cleaned up after each day with much more care than we had ever previously experienced.
The project was completed on time and on budget. There were some pricing changes due to changes we made, and those were always made clear at the time so we could keep things in perspective.
Would we use Teahen Construction again? Absolutely, and plan to when we do our kitchen in a few years.”

“With a talent for detail and creativity, I hired Patriica Morgan of Chrystalis Creations to create a custom queen-size headboard in a neutral linen-like fabric in 2012. The finished product was ideal with attention given to detail . Upon finding a new multi-coloured print fabric in 2014, Patricia then created a headboard cover for the existing fabric headboard and updated a new hanging mechanism for ease of attachment. With a perfect fit, the headboard was transformed. With the fabric remaining, Patricia custom made 2 accent pillows filled with high-density inserts.
I would highly recommend Chrystalis Creations for high-quality custom headboards. Patricia is extremely helpful to guide her clients which fabrics work best according to the headboard design chosen and added embellishments.”

“Cynthia is such a talented interior designer. She listened to what we wanted for our cottage, and made it even better than we had imagined. We went from owning a cottage stuck in the mid-eighties to one that was more contemporary, relaxed, and comfortable. Gone was the yellow and blue colour theme, the tired furniture, and dusty check curtains. In their place, was a bright, airy, refreshing colour theme (white and aqua green) with new furniture that was comfortable and inviting, and bedrooms that were comfortable and cottagey, without looking caught in a bad time warp. We, and everyone who visited us last summer, loved what she's done to create our oasis on the water. We highly recommend Cynthia!”
