“Steve Minchew does an excellent job of making the customer happy! We have only used the Minchews for one project so far but plan to hire them for all of our home improvement needs. We had a master bathroom without a vent fan for 20 years and another bathroom vent fan that wasn't doing the job. They put in a vent fan that is powerful and efficient in both baths, dealing with the ducts in the attic and roof. They scheduled the visit and were timely and charged exactly what was in the estimate. You know that there are not going to be any surprises and that the work will be well done. When we called to question the origin of a stain on the ceiling they immediately let us know that whatever the problem they would take care of it. It turned out that it had nothing to do with their work. We have talked with two other families who are thrilled with the work that was done by Minchew and Company.”

Lisa Manka, the woman behind Hestia, won the bid not by suggesting a low, low cost but by submitting an extraordinarily detailed proposal with realistic numbers attached. She began the project -- the complete redo of an attic renovation done on the cheap 20 years ago, in a 1920s Craftsman bungalow -- working hand in hand with our marvelous architect Ute Banse. Throughout the project Lisa kept us informed of what was and wasn't happening, and was extremely protective of our private space (yes, we stayed in the house during the project). The few problems she immediately resolved -- heck, some of the problems we would never have noticed if she hadn't pointed them out and corrected them. Her contractors were outstanding craftspeople whom she managed with professionalism and tact. The project was beautifully completed on time and in budget and we remain on the very best of terms with Lisa and Hestia.”

“Tom came recommended to us by Renewal. After meeting with Tom and getting other estimates, we decided he was the one for the job. We were adding a screen porch and deck to our 1925 house and we felt Tom understood our vision. He dispelled any concerns we had due to our sloping yard and drainage problems.His crew graded and added drainage, removed a stone wall and built the porch into the slope in such a way that works very satisfactorily. I really had no idea what an improvement it would be.Tom was available by text or email or phone through out the whenever we had questions. He kept us up to date with the City of Atlanta permitting process and the inspection process.When the permits were recieved the work began almost immediately.The craftsmanship of his workers is of the highest quality and his crew were very diligent and showed good work ethic. Once the work got under way they were here every day.I can't say enough about how pleased we were to work with Tom on this project. We would recommend him to anyone looking to renovate. “I have lived in Fayette County for 21 years. I had heard continued praises for American Eagle. 15 years ago, I had them build a detached garage. I described what I was thinking, they drew it on paper and it was exactly what I had in my head. We had a drainage problem (caused from the original bullder). Garry Heget created a solution and came by the house multiple times months later (when it finally rained) to make sure it was working. They were a little higher than my lowest bidder, but I knew their customer service was worth every penny. I am about to gut and redo the master bathroom. I will be calling American Eagle!”
