“We've had two jobs done by Tom and Bev and been more than pleased with both. The initial job was a remodel of an existing home office/guest room and adjoining bath. Three years later we engaged them again to replace our dilapidated garage with a two story free standing garage/shop and upstairs studio/guest quarters. The latter project has elicited praise from all the neighbors, and many passersby have stopped to inquire who did the work.
In both of these instances we were impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail of both Beverly the architect and Tom the builder. Bev really listened to our concerns and worked with us to try out different approaches until we found the design that fit our needs and desires for the space, giving helpful advice and pointing out things that we would not have noticed until too late. She shepherded the project through the permitting and inspection process, making sure that no issues with setback or height restrictions arose. Tom was involved in every phase of the construction, dealing with suppliers and subcontractors as well as keeping us informed with daily email updates on progress made, problems encountered, and what the next step would be. He worked with us to achieve our design goals while staying within budget.
Living in a construction zone can be stressful, but Tom's crew were great. The guys take very real pride in what the create. They went about their business with a minimum of mess and were always careful to keep the disruption contained. At the conclusion of the garage job we had an open house and invited the carpentry crew and their families.
I would not hesitate to recommend Beverly Thomas LLC for one second and have done so many times.”

“Our HOA hired the most professional team to do some work on our Community Center. Of three companies contacted for estimates, the Krause team answered quickest. They were able to come out within the same week and gave us an estimate. There were problems getting some special order parts to the repair and I was especially pleased that this company kept me in the loop at all times as to the delays. When the parts came in, the repairs were made immediately and they were done very well. The estimate held true and the work was done well. The office personnel were wonderful and friendly. I so enjoyed working with everyone. So much so that I have them coming to my own home next week to give me estimates on some much needed work under my own roof. Rather than dreading it, I am looking forward to the entire experience. I highly recommend this most professional and pleasant company.”

I had seen a sink and pedestal on Houzz and Pinterest that I loved but couldn’t find in the states. They were able to duplicate the design at a reasonable cost and pull together the rest of the bathroom for a complete look. Their communication skills are top notch, their employees were there when they said they’d be there, always neat and cleaning up as they went along.”

“As I began my search for a contractor to do some major renovations on my house, I found the task a bit daunting to say the least. I set aside a couple of days from work and spent them interviewing potential contractors. Nearing the end of the second day, I still hadn’t found someone I was totally sold on, then in walked Kurt Ozbey. I immediately knew he was the one I wanted working on my house. He has a very easy manner and I trusted him from the start. He told me he only does one job at a time and would be at my house every day until it was finished. And that is exactly what he did. Not only is he professional and reliable, he did a fabulous job. I live in a very old house in Georgetown: he knew how to work around all the problems that entails. This was no small job. Kurt and team, completely renovated my kitchen, bathroom, built two closets, replaced three windows, a door and put a toilet in my basement. I now have a brand new house. “We have used Winn Design on two different occasions. The first, in 2007, was a project to replace the exterior doors, windows, and siding of our 1969 ranch house. As part of the project, we added a natural wood portico to the front entrance. More than 5 years later we still have people stop to take pictures and ask us who has done the construction.
In 2010 we contracted again with Winn to extend and completely remodel our kitchen. As this was our first experience with a project of this size, the design process was very daunting. However, Winn patiently worked with us over a few months through many revisions until we had a design that fit our needs and budget. During construction we went on vacation and the project manager sent us pictures and summaries on almost a daily basis so that we could keep up with the progress of the project. As the different trades came to the project we were impressed by the quality of the subcontractors Winn used. Several trades mentioned that Winn was one of their favorite companies to work with. Happy and skilled subcontractors are also key to a successful project! Renovations can be very intimidating and stressful on a marriage. We are very grateful that Winn, through their professionalism and quality of work, made the process as pleasant and successful as we might have hoped for. Now, with more than 2 years behind us, we know that we made the right choice to use them. There are many contractor horror stories out there, but you won’t have one with Winn.”
