“We used Building Baltimore for multiple small to moderately large projects that have included roof work, ceiling repair, back yard deck & hardscaping, and a kitchen remodel. In every case, he was prompt, within his estimate, and made suggestions that brought costs down without sacrificing quality. The reason I continued to work Building Baltimore and highly recommend working with Building Baltimore is that Building Baltimore is contractor that works with you as much as they work for you. The best example is the kitchen remodel. Our kitchen was tiny (roughly 8x10) and oddly shaped. We wanted to get more light and use out of the space. We had some ideas that included moving the entrance to the basement stairs from the kitchen to adjacent hallway, replacing counter tops, putting in more cabinets and trying to make space for a small table. He looked at our plans and made some suggestions that included keeping the modifying the existing counter tops and creating small matching built in counter that extended out from the new cabinets that could sit 3 to 4 people without getting in the way of cooking or access to the refrigerator. He also came up with an idea for replacing a window that looked directly into our neighbor's kitchen with a series of rectangular glass brick windows around the perimeter of the kitchen above the cabinets that let in more natural light than the window we replaced. This also gave us more room for storage. We kept the windows that looked out onto our back yard so we still had a view. He also did some minor alterations to the wall that created the illusion o a raised ceiling and incorporated space for the cats' eating and drinking area that was out of sight. By the time the work was done, our kitchen, went from being the smallest, least used room in the house to an intimate gathering place that was used more than any other room in the house. We would have been satisfied with our original ideas. But the suggestions that we were given gave us a better outcome while staying within our budget. PS - I put in the approximate date for the kitchen remodel. But the reality is that he did work for us before and afterward.”
