Josh not only worries about execution, but also thinks about design, logistics, cosmetic and aesthetics. This is important to me. I don't always have the know how, but have the idea of what I want and Josh always seems to find a way to fit the design of what I am thinking. He asks the right questions and talks about the important things. He does great work and would always recommend him!”

“Bob Vail is a master Craftsman and his crew is just as exacting and demanding as he is. Our project involved pushing out our kitchen foundation 6ft and rearranging the rooms on the first floor to meet an expanded and updated kitchen. Walls were torn down and new walls were put in place, new windows and doors and a new outside deck also were part of a project that included an entire renovation of a tired old kitchen. Bob consulted and worked with us alongside an architect, kitchen expert and electrician in order to help us select exactly what we wanted, at times he would advocate for us when we met with some unprofessional incidents. Most importantly, Bob was able to flex with some changing demands during the project while still maintaining the integrity of the original plan. Superior finish carpentry highlights surround the new project and bring continued enjoyment as we use our new kitchen and entertain more often than ever before.”

In an old house there are always challenges, what you might expect and what you don’t, and every solution they came up with made the overall project even better. It was a lot to manage, especially during a year with shortages of building materials and subcontractors booked out for months. Yet SGK made everything come together. “I highly recommend Greater Portland Renovations. Originally, they did a rot repair job for us. Moisture got in under or front door and caused rot. They arrived to do the work on the scheduled day at the time promised. Even though the rot spread a bit further than expected, the cost remained within the estimated range. I was so impressed with the integrity of the company and kindness of the workers, that I also decided to hire them to install new hardwood floors in our home. As they were doing the job, they came across more rot under the back door, which we had no idea about. They took everything in stride. They repaired the issue right away, and charged us a reasonable amount to repair it. Our old floors were both glued and nailed down with a nail about every half inch of flooring. This was by means no easy job. They still managed to finish the job quickly, as they knew we were trying to sell our home. The floors were installed perfectly, and look amazing. I would recommend Greater Portland Renovations to ANYONE!!!”

“MR Brewer provided construction management and carpentry work for the second floor master bedroom. extention included framing, finish work and project management for the removal of stucco siding (and its replacement) to the entire exterior of the house. Contractor was responsive and fair in it's pricing. Quality work through out. This is the third renovation project MR Brewer has done for me.”
