“Hello Everybody! I had all the pieces of a chess set handmade by my father in the 80's, before his death and he did not had time to make a board that could simultaneously serve as case storage. The king of the game measures 10 inches high. All parts were waxed, black and transparent white. I asked Julien to make me the box chessboard. The result is extraordinary and each wood species has been carefully chosen, the patterns in each selected slats arranged, assembled with art and I now have a box 24 inches by 12 inches wide and 11 inches high, which serves as storage and table chess when opened. No screws, finished lacquered, oiled, waxed, with two delicate handles on the side for transport. A pure delight to honor and preserve the legacy in memory of my father. Thank you Julien, as all your work, you patiently imagined from what I wanted, developed with ingenuity yet tastefully created with fineness and attention to detail, a refined work, practical and inspired high reasonable price consideration of time and quality materials used. Only remains to me to learn how to play Chess... ;-)”
