“Consider this your personal reference to a terrific and honest 5-star contractor! I’ve been using Naz and AMBCD for nearly 10 years and have hired them for numerous jobs (probably 5 or 6). Naz is always the first person I call when I solicit bids for a specific job. Usually, Naz is the person I hire, but in the few instances that they were too busy for my schedule I usually regretted not waiting to hire Naz when he could fit me into his schedule later on. I’ve hired AMBCD for small, medium, and large jobs. I’ve never been disappointed with the final work product and I unhesitatingly recommend them to family and friends. AMBCD isn’t always the least expensive option, but they are honest and will charge a fair price. One of the things that I am most impressed about Naz is the way he handles job change orders. His bids have been remarkably accurate, but inevitably work change orders will arise. Usually, these have been because I wanted to add something to the scope of work. Many contractors “make their money” on work change orders, but I always felt that these were treated fairly, transparently, and reasonably. Overall, if you hire Naz and AMBCD you will get great work quality at an honest price. I cannot recommend anybody higher and I will continue to be a happy repeat customer.”

He was able to take abstract (to me) plans and create a virtual space that is helping us make decisions that would have been almost impossible otherwise. He was very responsive and easy to work with. If the actual space comes close to the one in his rendering we will indeed be thrilled. Because our architect was the one who communicated with Philip initially -- which was absolutely necessary -- I didn't get involved until later and failed to ask enough questions about the process. For example, I never knew how much choice I had regarding the furniture depicted (I still don't) or light fixtures and as a result the ones used are not consistent with our style. This is only a minor distraction but it would be good to establish those issues from the beginning.”

“I had the extreme pleasure of renting the Step ADU design in Highland Park. Not only is this apartment located in the heart of Highland Park, a block from York, by great restaurants and shops, it is also one of the most unique and inspiring spaces I've lived in to date. The design makes the space seem big, but cozy at the same time. It has high step ceilings and a large yellow door inside, taller than I've ever seen. The splashes of color reflect throughout the rooms differently as the daylight changes. The space simultaneously feels like a piece of artwork and a home. As a creative professional, it's important that your space reflects your values. This space is entirely dynamic with living flexibility, good entertaining space and a creative and inspiring air throughout the unit. If I were a painter, I would want to paint in this space. It is an incredible place to call home.”
