“No question, our house was a challenge. Kirsten and D3 were tasked with recreating plans for a 105-year-old house as no blueprints existed... the greater challenge, however, was the Heritage Revitalization Agreement with the City of New Westminster. Along with heritage specialist Elana Zysblat, Kirsten helped to save another house in the Queen's Park neighbourhood. Creative and thoughtful design to maximize space inside, and conservation-sensitive exterior modifications have resulted in a house that has one of the biggest - if not the biggest floor-space ratio in New Westminster. Neighbours have commented that aside from looking sharp and clean, the house generally looks the same from the street... exactly the goal that Kirsten, Elana and the City were trying to achieve. We are very pleased with Kirsten and her enthusiastic, patient and professional approach. When the work required to complete the heritage revitalization process exceeded the original budget, Kirsten put in many extra hours and did not charge us - and offered to perform any additional services at a reduced rate. This is the way to handle the unexpected... thank you, Kirsten! I would be happy to work with her again in the future. When the exterior painting is done, I will post photos...”

“We hired Atelier Architecture + Design to do an extensive renovation on our condo converting it from a one bedroom den to a two bedroom. The project included a gourmet kitchen, bathroom with walk in glass shower and double floating vanity, all flooring, full laundry room, walk in closet in master bedroom and many other fine detailed updates. Dominika was meticulous in all aspects of her design and work to also ensure all permits and strata regulations were met. “We hired Robert (and Sprucehill Contracting) to add a second floor to our bungalow. This also allowed for a redesigned main floor with a new laundry room, mud room, and expanded kitchen/living room. Robert was great to work with on the design. After spending time meeting with us and getting our wish list, he had a concept drawing back quickly that was a definite hit aesthetically and functionally. A few back and forth changes were needed and he was responsive and came back with great changes. The permit drawings were then drawn up and approved without any issues from the district. We were very happy working with Robert and would definitely work with him again.”

“We worked with the team at Synthesis Design and (now 2 1/2 years later) we are (still) thouroughly happy with their work. In fact, we consider them to be part of our family! When we went into this project we knew nothing about design, construction, zoning, or anything... we told them "we're either going to be your best clients or your worst, because we don't know what we don't know"... Well they certainly helped us through it incredibly well! Not only did they do a great job (many of the photos they posted here are of our home), but we had a blast working with them too! Our home is very important to us.. and take note the word... HOME... that's what Synthesis built for us... our family, our values, our lives were worked into this home in so many wonderful ways! I can't say I would ever use them again... because they did such a fantastic job this time around that we are NEVER moving. We love our home and we love Synthesis Design. C, L, K, O, K, B, everyone... you know who I'm talking about! :) !!! Don`t even THINK, hire them straight away!!!”
