“I own an architectural lighting company. We have a few mutual clients with Nicole and have seen a number of her projects over the past 6 years. We've been given the task of lighting some of Nicole's work (murals & walls or woodwork with unique finishes). In each case, I have been very impressed with the quality and originality of the work. In my line of work, I have the opportunity of seeing some of the highest quality trade & artisan installations. Nicole's work has always met or surpassed that bar. Where we have had to follow up on one of her projects (light her work) - the project has always been done in the time frame estimated. Specifically - I've seen simple woodwork in a kitchen made to match (and actually look better than) marble counters. On one project, saw a creation & collaboration with a wall paper hanger to create a ceiling finish unlike any I've seen. Another project - a hideous steel utility door turned into a middle ages wooden door. Also some fun - mural projects in children's rooms and wine cellars. The murals I saw were unique to the setting and clients. “Shaun has wonderful design sense and an eye for detail, and his work reflects this aesthetic sensibility. He did a wonderful job helping me choose colors, and make the spaces flow into one another. The Venetian plaster is beautiful , and I believe of high quality( although this is the first I have seen up close for more than a glance, so my experience is limited). As always, there are changes that occur and he handled these gracefully. We had major scheduling issues with the other contractors, so hard to comment on the ability to meet deadlines. When I was ready, he already had other work going, so there were waiting times. But as the projected start date kept changing, I can't fault him for not being immediately available. He was responsive for small touch ups after he had finished. My project was not fancy and he did a great job. I think where he really shines is on the more elaborate faux finishes!”
