“Ray Boutin provided all the design work and most of the supervision on a significant home improvement project on our new house in Hyde Park, Vt. As the chief designer for Vermont Vernacular, the firm that did the work, Ray was our key contact and an outstanding collaborator for us. He was exceptionally creative, imaginative and thoughtful, and a great pleasure to work with. And he paid careful attention to all details. We were so pleased with Ray's work and the job that Vermont Vernacular did for us that we are hiring Ray and his firm to do a major addition to the house this spring. All the workmen that VV and Ray brought onto the job were skillful and very good to work with. We have just moved to Vermont, and we were a little nervous about taking on a construction project when we don't know the territory. “Ward is great to work with. He has excellent design ideas that include original ways to enhance the end product. He is very good at working within a budget and adhering to deadlines. Ward made this project SO much more manageable by being the liaison with the contractor. His relationships with some contractors are an asset. After receiving bids, we chose an excellent builder that Ward has worked with previously. He advocated for us on cost and timing issues. He was patient with our process and I also found Ward's fees to be reasonable.”
