“My husband and I have worked with Harris & Kasten since the late 1990s. They have done many projects for us, including our lovely home in Atherton. Our home is a combination of Italian and French design. Everything was done to a tee! We could not be more pleased with their knowledge of art, art history, history, architecture, etc. You cannot go wrong with them.”

“I just completed a complete remodel of my San Francisco Edwardian flat and build out my basement. Joanne and her staff did a fantastic job. It started out as a kitchen bath remodel, but once the design process started expanded to include every room as we discussed how different spaces would be used and what I didn't like about the current space after living with it for 20yrs. Might as well do it right! Joanne's attention to detail, listening, and high ethical standards are unmatched. She would listen in the meetings and ask questions then come back with some ideas and sketches to get my reaction. She knew what I wanted without me even knowing it. She was also sensitive to the project budget which was important. I was able to complete the project within my budget. She was also key to working with the general contractor. She brought with her experience in projects of my scope / scale and working with different contractors and even her own remodel. This helped immensely. I look forward to the opportunity to work with Koch Architects again.”

“I hired Jeff to develop plans for me on a house I was flipping in west Oakland. He is the best designer/Builder I have worked with. Jeff drew the plans and made everything ready for me to bring to the city for permits, Oakland gave me no problems and accepted his plans with no review saving me time and money. His expertise with design software not only makes for a better finished product, but also moves the process along very quickly. He brought me through the design process with him on (Go to meeting). Where I was able to give feedback and make some input right from my own iPad, pretty cool process. I highly recommend Rexford Design and will be using his services on my next project!”

“Michael Hyde of MJH Construction recently did complete renovation of my 3,000 ft.2 home including all plumbing, electric, windows, roof, HVAC, floors, etc. He did a wonderful job. The work is immaculate. He is very good at staying on top of the subs and negotiating a good deal. He is also very honest. His price was very competitive.”

“After 30 years living in Hawaii and before retiring, we bought a triangle-shaped lot in Sonoma County that proved to be a challenge to build our home on because of city ordinances and set-backs. We were blessed to find the firm of Kadello & Larsen Architectural Designs. Paul Larsen designed our home to fit uniquely onto the property we owned. What should have been a stressful time in our lives became a positive working relationship with Paul. While we were still in Hawaii, he worked on our "long distance" project with excitement and enthusiasm, which was what we needed. He listened to what we wanted and helped deliver our dream with his contributions. Paul is a great communicator, and encouraged dialogue with us to keep the budget and vision in line. Working with Paul was rewarding and beneficial to the entire home building process. He was able to collaborate with our builders and not miss a beat when his expertise was needed. “My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Elida Doldan Schujman to design and develop a wine cellar. The project's expectations grew when we met Elida who gave us her insight to design a wine cellar and completely finish the construction of the basement and garage. This required extensive demolition, foundation repair, new heating system, and a very technical architectural design. Elida managed the entire project. Every detail was presented after careful research and listening to our requirements. We were extremely pleased with the results. Working with Elida was a wonderful experience. Her creative ideas and attention to the details made the difference in converting our basement to a wine cellar, gym, workshop, cedar closet, and inventory closet. She is professional, personable, and a very creative architect.”
