“My wife and I recently completed a modern home in Dallas which was designed by Bob Borson of Malone Maxwell Borson Architects. This was our third custom build, but the first using Mr. Borson. The design process from start to finish was a pleasure. At our first meeting, Bob listened to what we were looking to do architecturally and how we ultimately wanted to live in our house. Bob encouraged feedback at each stage of the process which made us feel like we were part of the design team. The end result was a stunning home that was perfect for us. One of Bob' s best qualities from a client's perspective is his responsiveness and attention to detail. We always received a timely and thoughtful response to our many questions during the design and build process. Based on our building experience, we give Mr. Borson our highest recommendation.”

This was no small undertaking as nearly two-thirds of the back of the house needed to be removed and a new kitchen, upstairs deck/kitchen, carriage house and master bathroom needed to be designed. Finally, because this is a historic home, the designs needed approval from several local and city governing bodies. Rebecca saw these designs through the approval process and, to her credit, her designs were immediately accepted.”

“When we interviewed them initially, we showed them a picture of a house we wanted to emulate, and it turned out to be one of their houses. They designed a beautiful house that has no wasted space, with minimal hallways. They were flexible enough to make changes in the plans that I requested, but did not hesitate to tell me when they thought my modification was ill-advised. One or the other architect attended nearly every meeting with the contractor, and they designed many unique features such as a shower that is hidden behind a panel, down to the last detail. We had very few change orders, as a result of their good planning and that of the contractor. I have lived in the house for more than three years now, and I continue to notice things that were planned perfectly, such as the degree of overhang on the roof over our porch: enough to provide shade, not enough to make the room dark or to impinge on the view. They were unfailingly accessible and affable. They worked well with us and with the contractor.”

“Hiring Bentley Tibbs to design our new home was the best decision we could have made. We connected with him at the first interview and have grown to respect, enjoy and admire him more throughout the process. We are nearing the end of our project, and even though his reputation is stellar, he has far exceeded any expectations we had of how stunning our home would look and how he would execute. Bentley is a master at clean modern architecture and a genious at mixing textures and materials. He is involved in every detail and works extremely well with our builder. I was in the interior design field for over 30 years and can candidly say I have never had such a great experience with an architect. Bentley has been a steady calm rock throughout the process and he has made this such an enjoyable experience that my husband and I will be sad when we don’t get to see him every week. I can’t even imagine building another home without using Bentley.”
