“Gail is a very talented architect, a pleasure to work with, and has unusual creativity. We began design of a new home with Gail Hallock, Inc. in April, 2011 after working with a number of other architects for about a year on preliminary designs. It was important to us that the architect understood the project holistically. Most seemed to concentrate on the exterior and not the livability & flow of the interior - requirements important to us. Gail deftly sketched throughout our conversations making sure we were on the same page. She was adept at picking up our 'style'. She does not produce cookie-cutter homes. During construction Gail handled problems adroitly and turned many into an opportunity to take something and make it even better. The creativity that Gail demonstrated with our home amazes me even today, a year after taking up residence. There's not a day that goes by that I don't look at some detail Gail created and think how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to live here. Gail is also one of the kindest people I have come across, plays well with others and was a strong and demonstrative advocate making sure that our home was built exactly as specified and with the correct materials throughout the project. We feel very fortunate to have found her. She does wear some fairly silly hats.”

Several times, Don went the extra mile (literally) to bring samples, discuss decisions and patiently explore alternatives. His rapport with the crew was fabulous and led to very smooth execution of the project, basically a guest house on our property for our extended family. Don designed the bedroom of our young grandson as a totally sweet cabin room with a stunning view of the trees around it. Our grandson woke up the first morning in his new room, whispering to his mother that he was in the middle of a forest!”

“Great Architect! Imaginative as well as pragmatic. "We met Keri as we were planning a kitchen renovation, screened-in porch addition and front porch portico addition which would require a variance from the local zoning board. Keri came over to chat, get a sense of our space, our interior design style, and review our scope of needs versus wants (something very important). We could tell immediately that Keri was able to envision what we were looking for as the end result. Keri completely re-designed (what I thought was already a great design because I did it!) our kitchen space in a creative, timeless, far more efficient design than I could ever think of. Keri displayed her strong technical expertise and design sensitivity when drawing our three season porch and portico. Everything was brought to life in not only perfect scale but also considerate of the home's age and it's placement into the neighborhood landscape. Keri is very detail oriented but has a unique way of translating those details into a cohesive design that you can understand and relate to. Keri was always available for us. She was prompt, prepared, and eased our fears throughout the entire process. That's the kind of experience you want when going thru a design and construction project.”

Katie has helped us organize our project very well, educating us on the entire design and building process. “Shannon Scarlett provided ideas and initial concepts for the extensive redesign of my old, small kitchen (with two ceiling heights and floor levels) and dining room. From her initial concepts and our inputs on what was important to us, she modified the concepts and prepared a detailed design for both rooms. We could not believe that we could have the remodeling that she designed! She is easy to work with and listened to our "wants". We are extremely pleased with her design, and she continues to proved support during the construction phase. Her costs were reasonable and a small part of the total project cost.”
