Many architects might have been unwilling to take on a project that had already started, but Doug, to my everlasting gratitude, not only agreed to work with us, but brought fresh, new, creative and improved ideas to the table. “Mine was the Brooklyn Brownstone in Maria's photographs. Working with her was an extraordinary experience. She created the architectural design for our third floor kitchen and our downstairs duplex renovations, coming up with a series of design ideas that were both beautiful and within our budget. She helped select our contractor and collaborated with him during each stage of both projects. She made weekly visits to the job site, and just as importantly, the contractor would call Maria with questions as the work progressed thereby avoiding costly “do overs.” She completed both projects within our budget and even more surprisingly, on time! “Stephen did an outstanding job for our project. Our project was a significant porch tear down and reconstruct/enlargement. Everything was very custom, including layout, roof connection to main structure, footer supports, storage underneath, drainage, electric, materials, etc. Stephen's drawings and materials were perfect and executed within the timeline required by zoning review for permits, etc. He worked really well with our contractor and other local city people that needed specific follow-up clarifications. Stephen made it really easy to make adjustments as appropriate as the project went on. Stephen was very responsive, easy to reach and very professional to work with. I would highly recommend him for any work in his field and will use him on future projects.”
