“We found Nate thru out contractor. Our situation was we had a fire, which essentially was a full rebuild, full house. We knew that we wanted to add space to our house and this was the time to do it. So when we started working with Nate, the first step was really Nate learning about our wants, needs, and style. It was a very collaborative process, and one which felt intimate. You are trusting someone to learn about your family and build something which represents you, and very personal, our home. So thru the process, we all got to know one another. Nate not only designed a beautiful home for us, he was invested in seeing his design and our home come to completion. He is more than an architect, he cares about the whole thing, including the interior design and the landscape. So throughout process, it was great always having Nate yo bounce material ideas off of. He also was very clear in parts of the project on which parts of design were open for discussion and which weren't. That was helpful, because in any project, there come points where you likely have to value engineer. And we did...but he made sure that nothing that was essential was removed. Nate handled everything, conceptual design, construction drawings, working with engineering firms, submittal to city and managing comments and re-submittal, working with GC, and as noted, landscape concepts and interior design support. We love our house, our neighbors are in awe of our house. Nate had a vision much bigger than we would have ever thought of on our own...so while we felt our voice was in the design, he just enhanced it in ways we just wouldn't have thought of. And then having a great GC to deliver....we feel extremely grateful to have taken a horrible situation of losing our home and now having a custom built home. Overall, Nate is great...he will take your concept and not only make it come to life, He has big ideas, he has a strong point of view, and he cares about his clients.
