“We hired Matt to help us design a farm house for our 35 acres. We wanted something that was open and rustic, yet modern. Matt did a great job of listening to our ideas and then giving us plenty of creative options that ultimately led to a wonderful set of plans that met all our wishes. We are very pleased with his professionalism and creative ideas that helped us design our custom farm house. Now we are ready to build!”

“Michael is very knowledgeable with experience in carpentry and architecture. It was obvious that he keeps current with both subjects. This was apparent when he was able to list pros and cons of various ways of doing something. He is very open minded when it comes to trying something different from the mainstream. He is very good at reusing materials whenever possible. He did an excellent job utilizing every inch of space when feasible. He is creative and his craftsmanship is excellent. Michael created a very nice studio apartment for me to rent. Michael is very easy to work with and kept me informed at all times regarding budget, subcontractors and necessary changes . I highly recommend him.”

“Rich Brya designed and built a house and studio for me. I'm very happy to have worked with them. Rich was very responsive to my wishes and the house fits us perfectly. Rich is great to work with, transparent about costs, and I love the design. My house is full of light, yet energy efficient. Sun comes in for thermal heating in the winter but not in the summer. My utility bills are lower than in my old house, although the square footage is larger. The house is solidly built, and after 5 years, I've had no problems. I love the house and feel happy every time I walk in.”

“We have done several projects with deMx and have loved working with them on everyone. They have great design ideas and worked well in taking our thoughts to produce great results. Our most recent project was a carriage house for our historic home. The modern and complementary addition has been awarded for it's improvement to a historic district and infill. If you like modern design, they can do it. Craftsman and more historic needs - I think you would find the firm will impress.”

“My wife and I have been working with Michael Bauer for a few months now on the remodel of an existing home. It is a particularly challenging project as we are working with a very traditional designed home, but are wanting a more modern/minimalist facelift. Initially Michael is re-imagining the landscaping and outdoor functionality of our home with a focus on exterior presence and inviting spaces for entertaining. Next he will help us create a more flowing and lucid interior aesthetic with a focus on art presentation, and simple functional spaces. I have found Michael to be easy to work with and truly gifted in his ability to sculpt space. Although we are still in-process, Michael has earned my confidence. I am know that the project will be a success and that he will provide design solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing with a modern/minimalist feel.”
