We hired Stephen to design a master bed/bath addition that has ADA-accessibility for Grandpa, as well as a kitchen & dining remodel on our small, ~925 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath 1935 cottage. We are still in the process of finalizing the design and are getting ready to hire a contractor for the project. Stephen has been great to work with so far. He is friendly, thorough, thoughtful and very creative. Throughout this long process of narrowing down what we want our house to be he has patiently and carefully listened to all our ideas, concerns and needs, given us great ideas of his own, answered all of our questions, and has incorporated everything we want into a ~1420 sq ft, 3 bed, 2.5 bath floor plan. “Dave Piches was a perfect fit for my project. There are many reasons to hire an architect but mine could be reduced to one large factor; creativity. Being a contractor for the past 23 years, I'm not new the construction process and I have rather high expectations. Couple this aspect of the situation with the fact that for years I had attempted to draw the plans myself as part of a creative outlet but could not bring all of the aesthetics in place as a comprehensive whole which had any panache. After Dave met with me and my wife, he took the plans I provided along with the ideas we stated and created an entirely different design.
