“I have known John for several years and decided to provide JPD Architecture with an opportunity to design, obtain planning permission and building regulation approval accordingly. “Andrew linked our 60s maisonette to the garages below. Here's why we hired him, and how it turned out: 1. Listening: We interviewed six (!) architects and he took most account of us, our tastes and how we live, rather than trying to foist a grand plan on us. It felt like a creative partnership not a takeover. 2. Focus on small details: Our project hinged on where to put the stairs. Andrew took us to another project, where he'd included an upstairs bathroom in a tiny cottage by moving the stairs. He'd thought it through in fine detail and it worked. 3.
