Top Kitchen Ideas
Love this designer's quirky style. How do I build some of it into my kitchen? The cabinets to left are promising -- on top, open bookshelves flanked by cupboards for dishes, which I would probably use glass for. A line of shallow drawers below the counter for cutlery, linens, utensils. Doors below that for appliances, bowls, food. And moving to the right, the uppers stop and free the counter for use.
Good hutch ideas: To right, glass-doored cabinets for dishes, with shallow cutlery drawers beneath, and doors below that (or use deeper drawers) for appliances or pots. Note that wall of cabinets is not symmetrical. 2 left-side units have counter between uppers and lowers, which I need for small appliances.
Very attractive and capacious storage of everyday dishes in a shallow space: Upper cabinetry is low to counter, so eye level storage is maximizes, but there's still clearance on the counter for small appliances. Cup hooks under uppers allow mug storage. A very tight shelf under the uppers allows storage of cups, bowls -- or my glassware. Glass doors and many short shelves maximizes storage of dishes.
