Serenbe House
I love PH hygge lighting fixtures. It is a little more modern than I typically like, but love the way it diffuses the light to prevent glare.
I love almost all of these exteriors.
I love the pocket doors, particularly the pocket door that is used to separate the dining room, but which could be opened for an open house or a real big dinner party. A couple times a year we have dinner parties with 10-18 people. Flexibility to expand our dining area into adjacent spaces is key. But without us feeling like we’re rattling around in a house too big for us the other 363 days of the year.
I love pocket doors!!!
I love the light and interesting style of this house. It feels contemporary, but carrying forward thoughtful craftsman touches like the ceiling, the leaded glass cabinet doors in a small area, the tiled fireplace.
Wow! What reviews! And I like his aesthetic. As he is neither and architect or a contractor, need to better understand his role.
Architecture and build firm. Built Morgan’s house. Strong green credentials.
Located in Chattahoochee Hills, work throughout Atlanta south and Emory/Decatur metro. One strong review. Style looks like us.
Architecture and builder in one company.
Has built in Serenbe. May be too high end. Worked for Southern Living to build one of their homes.
Has designed for Serenbe
Well liked. Able to blend traditional and contemporary design. Strong reviews. One negative - in Greenville.

I love the look of this screened in porch floor. We want to consider French sliding doors off the dining room or living room to screened-in porch to allow us to extend dinner party seating to the porch. With the exception of the track, we want no difference in floor height between the screened in porch and the dining room.
Screens from the same company also stretch across the ceiling to fully enclose the space. To protect against rain, the aluminum ceiling louvers can be closed electronically. The outdoor teak dining table can be extended, with the help of a hidden leaf, to seat up to 10 people — perfect for having impromptu dinner parties or hosting unexpected guests.
here’s more than what meets the eye with this elevated deck on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, in Minnesota. All sides of the deck, designed by Sharratt Design & Co. and Karie Zemlicka from Mom’s Design Build, can be screened in with the touch of a button, thanks to integrated retractable screens by Phantom Screens. This option ensures that summer dinners can be enjoyed bug-free.
Wow. We’ll need storage a plenty. Doesn’t have to be this nice, but must be well thought out.
Check out this ceiling!!!
I have this sink now and want it in my new house!
Maybe this kind of storage built around the doorway for the path from kitchen and living room to entry?
I love the idea of a round breakfast bar. An arc would be ok as well. Just something where we can look at each other while eating. Not a straight line.
Pocket doors behind built in storage. For upstairs loft/nook? For downstairs office/guest room? I love pocket doors!
