Structure evergreen planting softened with perennials
The brief for this garden was a better flow and connection, and a larger seating area for entertaining. Built and planted in late spring 2022, the plants here were just beginning to do their thing.
The addition of a natural rust arch to lead you into the seating area is on the to do list and will introduce some more height while we’re waiting for the planting and really pull this garden together.
Planted with a gorgeous mis of cottage garden plants in a palette of purples, whites and greens, a multi stemmed Amelanchier will in time become a lovely focal point in the space.
A good example I think of how the smaller spaces can still be both practical and gorgeous at the same time.
