Manufactured to order in Wiltshire in the only in the factory in the UK to specialise in both mattress and sofas, they are handmade by skilled craftsmen with decades of design knowledge and expertise in making the most stylish and comfortable upholstery and mattresses.
With plush and sumptuous feather-wrapped cushions, elegant angles and brushed-bronze base trim and legs, the design of our Charcoal Blue Saturday Soirée Sofa Bed is a real headturner – both elegant and contemporary.
The mattresses are designed not just for occasional use, they are intended to be ‘everyday sleepers’ meaning the quality is unrivalled for a sofa bed mattress. Hand-tufted here in the UK each mattress is made using only the finest raw materials.
The sofa bed mattress is 140cm wide, and is available in both an open-coil sprung unit or the more luxurious pocket sprung version - the open-coil sprung mattress has a single-sided sleeping surface, whilst the pocket-sprung mattress can be slept on using either side.
The sophisticated single-pull two-fold mechanism takes approx. 5-10 seconds to operate. The mechanisms are constructed in Belgium and made with tubular metal for added strength, webbing for seat comfort and wooden support slats for total sleep comfort.
The deep blue-grey velvet-textured upholstery fabric is rub tested to 50,000 Martindale cycles, making it remarkably hard-wearing whilst being luxuriously soft to the touch.
