Il fallait donc créer une salle à manger ainsi qu'un coin salon.
Il fallait conserver les meubles et jouer sur les motifs et les couleurs pour mettre l'accent sur les points positifs et effacer les négatifs.

M&M InteriorsThis formal dining room was a blank slate. My clients requested a formal room and wanted to keep the existing teal color. We lightened the color, painted the ceiling an even lighter version of the teal blue and added gorgeous custom window treatments, furniture and lighting. The result is stunning!
Sally Scott Interior DesignerUsing the Client's dining table and chairs, the rest of the room underwent a transformation. Soft tones of blue, used throughout the first floor of the home, blend with grays and creamy white in the hand printed grass cloth wallpaper by Scalamandre. Linen drapery panels are embellished with a wide suede banding from Samuel and Sons. A Sunbrella fabric is used on the window seat cushions to avoid fading, and throw pillows matching the wallpaper and drapery are the finishing touch.
Burrow & NestThe dining room already had a beamed ceiling with painted vintage embossed wallpaper. We added this beautiful vinyl to the walls in a slate blue with modern trellis pattern that suited both the homeowner's tastes. It's washable and adds a perfect sheen to lend a little formality.
The trim was given a fresh coat of paint and the fireplace accented in Benjamin Moore's Coventry Grey. A sputnik pendant adds a touch of mid-century glam, juxtaposing the rustic table. The dining table was commissioned locally of reclaimed barnwood. The chairs are of navy tweed, a durable fabric to withstand many family dinners for years to come. A buffet was added to use as a serveboard, as well as provide additional storage. The rug is a durable poly that will withstand spills better than wool.
Love Your Room LLCWhen meeting with our homeowners for this dining room and kitchen renovation project, they presented us with a large wish list. This busy family of five loves to cook and entertain for their large extended family. They felt their current dining room was not functioning to its fullest potential. It felt cramped, dark, outdated, and had no flair. They wanted more room for storage, and convenient areas to mix drinks. They also wanted to keep their vintage dining table.
We began by laying the room out with a brand new custom built in dry bar with a beverage refrigerator. The bar design included a lot of storage for wine, and all of the barware necessities. The homeowners love bold shades of blue, so we wrapped the walls in Benjamin Moore Galapagos Turquoise. We created a focal wall treatment using painted wood and wallpaper. Silk dupioni drapery add elegance to the windows, along with cozy soft blue chairs, and a spectacular crystal chandelier.

Home Glow DesignOur clients, a couple in their early 40s with 3 young kids, bought their 1990s Colonial Revival style home about 8 years earlier and have been tackling updates to the home and property ever since.
Both the husband and wife grew up on the Maine coast before settling permanently in New Hampshire, so their love of blues, grays, and a simple New England aesthetic came as no surprise. But while the wife longed for a few pops of color, the husband was definitely a little suspect of pattern and richer hues. We created a space that evoked both warmth and serenity, with a little bit of New England preppy style.
We employed sky blue grasscloth, a traditional-with-a-twist lucite chandelier, and a fresh drapes + Roman shade combination for semi-formal style.

The highlights of this room came from the stunning head-to-toe velvet dining chairs, colorful rug, whimsical chandelier and a simple yet elegant mahogany and gold accented extendable dining table.
A simple way our team incorporated a personal touch in the dining room was through the drapery fabric selection. The client’s daughter is an artist and loves watercolor so we found a really beautiful Miles Redd watercolor fabric that brought a softness to the room but felt ultra special and personal when we had it custom fabricated for her Modern Regency space.
