Rich and Romantic
This living room/ music room had a case of the blahs. The fireplace stood alone, the lighting did not add to the aesthetics and function and there was an unattractive rug. As You Like It designed the bookshelves flanking the fireplace and had them custom made, we added ceiling accent lighting which also added to the general ambient lighting. We had the client's settee re-upholstered, new draperies made and painted the built-ins grey to tone them down into a supporting role for the fireplace. The fireplace with wallpaper added over the mantle created interesting visual excitement to the space. The floors had been refinished, walls repaired, old rug removed to the dust bin.
