One Red Wall
Son Marco's room is small, but space is economized by using an Ikea bookcase as a headboard / shelf. Painting just one wall bright red -- instead of the entire room -- makes it lively and colorful. If all the walls had been painted red, it would have enclosed or tightened the small space. A blonde-wood shelf echoes the bookcase and bedframe, tying everything together.
